Mishawaka Parks to introduce Portable Skate Park this summer

MISHAWAKA, Ind. – A Portable Skate Park will be brought to Mishawaka parks this summer, making its debut at Merrifield Park.

The Portable Skate Park will feature amenities like safety rails, manual pads, quarter pipe ramps, launch ramps, and wedge ramps for skateboards, bikes, and scooters.

The goal is to put the skate park in the ice rink at the Merrifield Park Complex first and eventually take it to neighborhood parks throughout the city, Superintendent of Parks, Phil Blasko, said.

The skate park is the result of a collaboration between the Mishawaka Parks Department and the Mishawaka Parks and Recreation Foundation, along with premium sponsor Indiana Center for Recovery and a number of other sponsors.
