Mishawaka holds Fall National Prescription Drug-Take Back Day on Oct. 26

MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- Mishawaka Police and Mishawaka Fire Departments are partnering with the DEA and the 525 Foundation to provide a Fall National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day, on Oct. 26, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The event will have a convenient drive-through drop off at the Mishawaka Fire Station #4, on 3000 Harrison Road. The intention of Prescription Drug Take-Back Day is for the community to dispose of any unwanted, unused, and expired medication.

Several other locations will be available through Michiana during the same time. If you are unable to make it out to the locations on Oct. 26, the 525 Foundation and the DEA will place out several disposal boxes throughout Michiana, including the Lobby of Mishawaka Police Department.

To find these disposal boxes near you, click here to find that information on the 525 Foundation webpage.

You can find your local takeback location on the ISP website.
