Mishawaka students still expected to attend in-person learning on January 19
ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. – The School City of Mishawaka still plans on bringing middle and high school students back to a hybrid learning system on Tuesday, January, 19.
SCM says they have modified their 50/50 hybrid system, no longer diving students up by last name, but rather grade level to allow students to socialize with their peers.
They are proving teachers and support staff with on-site COVID-19 testing.
In the past few weeks, custodial and maintenance have deep cleaned and disinfected all classrooms and common areas throughout the district.
SCM states there is a classroom capacity at MHS and JYMS to ensure that social distancing can be practiced.
SCM states that they will not accept the pandemic as an excuse for their students to fall through the cracks.
