Mom accused of dumping baby can travel to Chicago

GRANGER, Ind. -- The Granger mom accused of throwing her newborn baby in a dumpster will be allowed to travel to Chicago for her brother's engagement party this weekend.
Purvi Patel is charged with felony neglect of a dependent.
Police say she gave birth to a baby and dumped it in a trash dumpster behind a Granger restaurant July 13th.
The judge signed the order on August 7th.
