Moms: Groceries not guns

A mom's group took their fight against guns to the aisles of a grocery store.

Moms Demand Action launched a petition and a massive ad campaign targeting Kroger last month.

The ads said Kroger does not allow food and drink in their stores, but guns are allowed.

The group delivered over 270,000 signatures to stores in Westfield, Bloomington, and Indianapolis, on Thursday demanding they change their carrying policy.

“Of course we will be working to change the law. This is a step that could make things easier for everybody. There have been many dangerous open carry incidents in other states,” says Melanie Sokhey of Moms Demand Action.

Kroger says their policy is in alignment with state and local laws on carrying policies.

At this time, they have no intentions to make a blanket policy to ban guns from their stores.
