Monroe Circle Community Center offers Back to School Clothing Store

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - Just in time for the new school year, Monroe Circle Community Center (MC3), part of Granger Community Church, is offering a Back-to-School Clothing Store where shoppers can purchase discounted new clothing items for a maximum of $5 per child.

That's enough for each child to receive at least one new outfit.

Discounted items include new clothes, shoes, socks and underwear.

Occurring on Monday, July 31 from 1-3 p.m. and 4-6 p.m. and Tuesday, August 1 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1-4 p.m., the store is open to those who already pre-registered.

It's strongly encouraged to pre-register to receive a shopping time.

You can register by bringing in the child's birth certificate, proof of guardianship or letter from the child's school.

Those not pre-registered are invited to wait in a standby line on a first come first serve basis.

As their third annual Back-to-School Clothing Store, MC3's goal is to give local families the opportunity to purchase new clothing at an affordable cost with pride and dignity.

They believe, "the small investment of a parent or grandparent restores dignity, honor and joy in providing for their child or grandchild."

While waiting on your shopping time, volunteers will serve refreshments and a shopping assistant will hold your shopping items as you browse.

If you'd like to volunteer, visit their website to learn more.
