Moore, OK students, teachers head back to class

MOORE, Okla. — Teachers and students in Moore, Oklahoma will head back to the class this week.

This comes less than three months after a deadly tornado ripped through the city and severely damaged several schools and other buildings.

The tornado killed 24 people. Several of the children died when the tornado struck their school. 

Teachers and administrators kicked off the new school year with the "Rising from the Storm" recovery campaign on Monday.

Teachers were scheduled to head back to classroom on Tuesday.

And students will have their first day of the new school year on Friday.
