Showers and storms continue to move eastward out of our area this morning, leaving behind rain-cooled air that will keep low temperatures more seasonable than earlier this week. Despite the temporary wet weather, today will still feel quite warm and muggy with isolated thunderstorms developing from the afternoon into the overnight amidst partly cloudy skies. Highs will likely top out around 90F, a far cry from the heat-related records we broke the past two days. Not everyone will see rain today, but those who do run into the chances for heavy rain and possibly strong wind gusts. Expect limited coverage of storms through the overnight as lows tumble into the upper 60s. Thursday will retain the humidity we've seen throughout the week, but partly cloudy skies will likely prevent high temperatures from breaking into the 90s. More showers and scattered thunderstorms are likely Friday as a cold front is expected to roll through, bringing cooler and less humid air into the weekend and early next week.
Today: Isolated thunderstorms. High 90.
Tonight: Isolated thunderstorms. Low 68.
Thursday: Partly cloudy. High 88.
Friday: Scattered thunderstorms. High 90.
