A cold but easy commute into work this morning as most roads are dry. We’ll start out with partly cloudy skies but more clouds move in the second half of the day. A small system drops into the area this afternoon but it only brings light snow. Trace to 2” is possible with the higher totals being north of the Indiana Toll Road. Highs make it into the middle 30s.
Lake effect snow develops behind the system Monday night lasting through Tuesday. This is where we will see higher snow totals and it could cause a slow commute Tuesday morning. 3-6” are possible in northwest Indiana by Tuesday night with locally higher amounts possible. Some lake effect snow will linger into early Wednesday morning.
Today: Mostly cloudy with snow showers developing midday, high of 36.
Tonight: Lake effect snow developing, mostly cloudy, low 21.
Tuesday: Lake effect snow, mostly cloudy, high 25.
Wednesday: Mostly to partly cloudy, chance of snow, highs in the upper 20s.
