More strong storms likely this evening

NOW: More strong storms likely this evening

ABC57 First Warning Neighborhood Weather Forecast

Tuesday, March 31, 2026

A couple of rounds of loud storms have already made their way through Michiana Tuesday, and one more could be on the way this evening. Storms are expected to re-fire near Chicago around 5 PM and move through our area from 5-9 PM. Hail, damaging winds and an isolated tornado are possible early this evening. Storms should wrap up around 10 PM, but rain chances return on Wednesday. We'll be MUCH colder on Wednesday with highs in the 40s. Periods of showers and steady rain are likely throughout the day.

The front that will bring Michiana storms Tuesday night will reverse and return to our area on Thursday. This will once again help temperatures reach the middle 70s on Thursday with another chance of severe weather in the evening. Highs will reach the 60s for South Bend Cubs Opening Day Friday, but a few pesky showers might try and spoil the fun. A final round of thunderstorms is likely late Friday night into Saturday. Rain should end by Easter Sunday, but we are MUCH colder for the holiday, with highs barely reaching the 40s and a stiff breeze expected.

Tonight: Strong storms possible in the evening, then cloudy and turning chilly. Low 40.

Tomorrow: Periods of showers and steady rain. Colder. High 48.

Thursday: Warm again with more evening thunderstorms. High 75.

Friday: A chance of afternoon showers. High 66.
