What's Lurking on Lexington' hosts 6th season of frights and giving back
SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- In their sixth season, 'What's Lurking on Lexington,' and creator Jay Yarbrough have been giving residents frightful experiences through their unique residential haunted house. The process, from build-up to tear down, takes around two full months for Yarbrough and other surrounding neighbors. But, with all of the scares to go around, there's also plenty of good. Even though the attraction is free, residents can donate if they choose, and those funds go to a cause close to Yarbrough's heart. "I'm an animal lover myself and pet refuge is a non-kill animal shelter," Yarbrough said. "So, that's something we feel if we can stand behind, and since we already have people coming, why not make it an event where we can do something for good as well." Yarbrough says their goal is to raise three hundred dollars for pet refuge in South Bend. So, if you don't have any plans this Halloween and are looking for some extra scares, you can find what lurks on Lexington at 55407 Lexington ave. Doors open at 7 p.m. on October 31.
