A quick punch of snow and cold
ABC57 First Warning Neighborhood Weather Forecast
Monday, January 3rd, 2022
The cold weather lasts most of the week across Michiana, with Tuesday the only day with above-freezing high temperatures. We'll see more sunshine tomorrow, helping thermometer readings rise into the middle 30s. Skies turn cloudy, and the weather turns windy starting Tuesday night. Westerly winds of 20-30 mph will drive lake-effect snow showers on Wednesday. Any significant accumulations will mostly be limited to our southwestern Michigan counties, given the wind direction. More snow showers are possible on Thursday as another atmospheric wave moves through. This round of lake-effect could impact parts of northern Indiana as well. We'll be dry but cold on Friday, with highs falling below 20 degrees. Another quick round of snow showers is possible Saturday night into Sunday. Temperatures for the upcoming weekend look to be in the 30s.
Tonight: Clear and cold. Low 17.
Tomorrow: Mostly sunny and a little milder. High 36.
Wednesday: Cloudy and windy. Snow showers possible. Morning high of 30, falling temps throughout the day
Thursday: Scattered snow showers. High 20.
