SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Raising Kings and Queens Daycare Ministry held their first ever 'Mother Daughter Sneaker Ball' at the Century Center this afternoon.
Putting their own twist on the 'Mother Son' or 'Daddy Daughter' dances, the ministry providing an opportunity for moms and daughters to dress up and have a fun night.
"I came up with the idea because I have a daughter, and we never have a dance. Me and my son always go to dances, but they never have a mom and daughter. So, I'm like, you know what? She's turning five. Let's make it a birthday party. So, it's my daughter's fifth birthday party, but also a mother daughter sneaker ball," stated Owner of Raising Kings and Queens Daycare Ministry Michelle Martin.
Over 600 people decided to join the dance, each of them spending their Sunday night in style.
