Mother of Marshall County school bus crash victim files wrongful death lawsuit

MARSHALL COUNTY, Ind.—The mother of Marshall County school bus crash victim, Owen Abbott, filed a wrongful death lawsuit on Tuesday.

The 13-year-old died after a truck hit the bus he was riding in on December 5.

Britni Fritz is suing the driver of the truck, Tylor Perry, as well as the owner of the truck, National Rent-a-Fence Co.

The suit claims Perry was driving carelessly and broke traffic laws when his truck hit the school bus Abbott was riding in.

The suit is asking for a jury trial and monetary damages.
