Mother's Day at the firing range

It was a successful Mother's Day at the Kodiak Firing Range and Training Facility in South Bend. Many people took advantage of the free gun rental offered to moms.

“It used to be take your mom to dinner and do some family things. Now it's take the whole family to the range, and everybody enjoys it,” said employee Jillian Frank. “We have had a lot of people today, and in every group there has been a mother. Mom is everything, you know?”

Frank says it's a great bonding experience and says a day at the range is a family activity that hits a bulls-eye on a rainy Mother's Day.

“The dad is not only in charge of that now.” Frank says. “It's another role model position.”
