Motorcycle crash sends 51-year-old woman to hospital

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- The Elkhart County Sheriff's Office reports deputies responded to a single-motorcycle crash around 8:50 p.m. Thursday at C.R. 17 and C.R. 4.

The report states a motorcyclist, identified as a 51-year-old Elkhart woman, was traveling south on C.R. 17 approaching C.R. 4.

The woman reported she took the curve on C.R. 17 north of C.R. 4 "too fast" and lost control of the motorcycle, resulting in her going off road and falling from the bike.

The woman reported pain in her collar bone on her right side and a deep laceration on her left shin above the ankle.

The woman was then taken to the Elkhart General Hospital for her injuries.
