Motorcyclist injured after crash involving a deer in Cass County

CASS COUNTY, Mich.—A motorcyclist was injured in a crash involving a deer near Penn Township on September 19.

According to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office, around 9:12 p.m. on Thursday, police were called to a personal injury crash on Paradise Lake Road, near Jeffries Street.

Officers learned that Rollie Robert White, 28, of Elkhart was driving his motorcycle when he hit a deer.

White was taken to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries.

Police do not believe that alcohol played a role in the crash. No helmet was worn at the time of the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
