Motorcyclists gather to raise money for MDA

SOUTH BEND, Ind. — Sunday hundreds of motorcyclists gathered at the St. Joseph County Fairgrounds to raise funds for children with Muscular Dystrophy.

It is an hour long ride which raises money for Region One's Abate Muscular Dystrophy Association.
Several children with muscular dystrophy were on hand to watch and cheer on the riders.

The riders now say they are happy to be a part of something bigger than themselves.

"If all these people pitch in to help find a cure I think that's awesome," said Natalie Holmes, a 12-year- old with muscular dystrophy.

"I mean everyone comes together, you are not just one separate person you are one," Pam Reed. "You are a big group, it's a big family. It's awesome, it's an awesome feeling."
