ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. -- UPDATE: The train has been cleared from the railroad crossing at Cleveland Road near Capital Avenue as of 1 p.m., Thursday.

There is now a train stopped at the crossing on Douglas Road near Capital Avenue as of 1 p.m.

ORIGINAL STORY: The St. Joseph County Police Department is asking motorist to avoid Cleveland Road near Capital Avenue due to a broken-down train blocking the grade crossing as of 8:30 a.m., Thursday.

Police say it could take about an hour and a half to fix.
