Motorists looking at fire damage collide

ROCHESTER, Ind. — Many people have been checking out the fire damage from the Windy City Fireworks fire on Wednesday night. It even caused an accident.

Police say two drivers were checking out the burned building and got in a rear-end crash.

"You can't be stopping and pulling off to the side of the road or stopping in the middle of the road," said Rochester Police Department Lt. Robert Daugherty. "The person in the rear wanted to look too, but didn't know the person in front of them wanted to look too. And they just collided so it's just best to stay with the flow of traffic and don't gawk."

According to police, both cars seem to be totaled.

There were no injuries.
