CONSTANTINE, Mich. – It will be an event complete with child ID kits, K-9 demonstrations, and special squad cars – all in an effort to remind the community about public safety.

The event will be coming to the farmer’s market at Rotary Park from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday.

Free ChildPrint ID kits will be available for parents to help create a confidential and comprehensive record of their child’s personal and medical information. Organizers say these kits can help police find the child if they were to go missing.

In addition to the kit, pages of safety tips will be given out.

The free event is being put on by Constantine Police, Three Rivers K-9 Unit, Michigan State Police, and other emergency service agencies
