Multiple fatalities in plane crash in southern Indiana, plane headed to Chicago

CLARK COUNTY, Ind. -- There were no survivors when a small corporate-style jet crashed near Borden, Indiana, before noon on Friday, according to Indiana State Police. The plane was headed to Chicago.

Just before 11:30 a.m., police in Clark County were notified by residence on Crone Road of a possible plane crash in a wooded area nearby.

Emergency responders located debris from a plane crash, but no survivors.

The plane left the Clark County Airport at 11:24 p.m. en route to Chicago with three people on board, including the pilot.

The National Transportation Safety Board and Federal Aviation Administration will assume the lead role in the investigation.
