Multiple slide-offs, accidents on Toll Road

Plow truck drivers have been working on keeping the toll road clear since Monday night. One of the biggest challenges is the temperature. Salt doesn’t work unless the temperature is above 20 degrees.

Indiana State Polcie say they have been called to nearly 10 slide offs on the Indiana Toll Road Tuesday.

56 plow trucks have been out since the sun came out and roads are starting to look better.

But there were multiple slide-offs, including one group of people who had two accidents in the past 24 hours.

The driver has advice for other drivers out there.

"Don't take your eyes off the road and if there is bad weather drive slowly because you don't know what’s going to happen,” said Natasha Kulp.

Just after 7:30 a.m., troopers responded to a head-on collision between a pickup truck and a semi on the toll road. No one was injured in the crash but it slowed traffic.
