Multiple traffic alerts issued for South Bend

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The City of South Bend announced street closures for Angela and Lafayette Boulevards. 

Angela Boulevard will be shut down from North Shore Drive to Hillcrest Road for milling and resurfacing on June 23.

Motorists will be detoured via Michigan Street and North Shore Drive. Officials anticipate that Angela will reopen by Thursday.

Lafayette Boulevard will be shut down from Bartlett Street to Riverside Drive on June 24. Crews will be installing new curbs, sidewalks, bump outs and a speed hump.

Motorists will be detoured via Bartlett Street, Riverside Drive and Michigan Street.

Officials expect the road to reopen by Friday, July 3.
