Murder suspect faces additional charges

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. -- A man who is already facing murder and attempted murder charges for a shooting on September 30th is now facing four additional charges of robbery and confinement.



Anthony Jefferson was charged October 1 with the murder of Jason Reid and the attempted murder of Tyreece Jackson.



On October 2, the St. Joseph County Prosecutor's Office added four charges - two counts of robbery and two counts of confinement.



According to the prosecutor's office, on September 29, Jefferson forced a woman to withdraw $200 from an ATM in the 5600 block of North Main Street in Mishawaka. He then allegedly forced her to drive him to another location, then allegedly took her cell phone.



On September 30, he is accused of approaching a cashier at a 7-Eleven at Logan and Jefferson in South Bend, throwing coffee in the clerk's face and taking money and cigarettes.


Jefferson has not been arrested.
