Nappanee Apple Festival cancelled due to COVID-19
The Nappanee Apple Festival, scheduled for September 2020, has been cancelled due to COVID-19 concerns.
Organizers said cancellation was the safest option.
The announcement was made via Facebook Tuesday morning.
It is with a heavy heart that the Nappanee Apple Festival Core Committee announces that the 2020 festival will be canceled due to health concerns surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Nappanee Apple Festival Core Committee, in partnership with the City of Nappanee, feels this decision is in the best interest of our sponsorship partners, vendors, volunteers, visitors’ health and safety. After months of brainstorming, we concluded that the safest option was to cancel this year’s festival. The well being and safety of our community is the Apple Festival Committee’s top priority.
We are genuinely humbled by the overwhelming support from the community over the years, and we are confident that the 2021 Nappanee Apple Festival will be better than ever. We want to thank everyone for making this event such a special piece of Nappanee’s history. Stay safe and we will see you in September of 2021!
Sincerely,
The Nappanee Apple Festival Core Committee
