Nappanee Parks hosting Summer Slide

NAPPANEE, Ind. -- Nappanee Parks and Recreation will be hosting Summer Slide to celebrate the season.

The festivities include a slip and slide, free frozen ice, and a squirt gun challenge that will take place on August 6th at the Sledding Hill on Thompson Drive from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m.

It costs $5 per person for the slip and slide and participants are required to bring their own float, tube or mat.

In addition, Nappanee Parks will also be hosting Touch a Truck, where attendees can visit with local city departments and businesses to check out their vehicles and equipment.

The Touch a Truck event will be at the Downtown Pavilion on August 4th from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
