Tuesday was National Pancake Day and IHOPs nationwide celebrated with a free short stack for customers.
But there is more to this event than just free food. Nationwide, the money goes to the Children Miracles Network. The local store raised $1,200 for Riley Children's Hospital.
"I think it’s awesome. I have a really good friend that was struggling with cancer and Riley's Children Hospital really did a lot for him," said Grant Patton.
The best part about the fundraiser is that all of the money raised stays local. So that $1,200 will go to Memorial Hospital in South Bend which has a Riley's wing.
