National Weather Service confirms EF 2 tornado in Bristol Thursday

BRISTOL, Ind. -- The National; Weather Service confirmed an EF 2 tornado touched down in Bristol Thursday evening for about 2.22 miles.

The official report notes peak winds were as high as 115 miles per hour. The tornado is estimated to have been 100 yards in width. 

No fatalities have been reported, but one person was injured.

The tornado began at 10:46 p.m., ending at around 10:50 p.m.

The tornado's path started at C.R. 15 and Bainbridge Drive just west of Bristol before continuing across fields to the northeast.

Roof damage and uprooted trees are just some of the damages found in the area by officials.
