ELKHART, Ind. – A natural gas leak was identified near the intersection of E. Jackson Boulevard and Graywood Avenue in Elkhart, the City of Elkhart announced.
Power is being disconnected to residences within a two-block radius of the leak out of safety concerns.
At this time, here is no estimated power restoration time.
The Elkhart Fire Department is going to each residence to check for the presence of gas.
Officials are not recommending evacuations at this time.
