SOUTH BEND, Ind. - Just days after the NHL Winter Classic served as hockey's debut in the historic Notre Dame Stadium, the Irish had their own chance at a "once-in-a-lifetime opportunity" with their own outdoor game.
Notre Dame hosted rival Michigan for a highly-anticipated matchup, but an early stumble dug too deep of a hole as the Irish fell 4-2 to the Wolverines.
