Nearly 40 animals die in Michigan barn fire

HIGHLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. -- Nearly 40 animals died on Monday morning in a Michigan barn fire!

The fire swept through Cherry Blossom Farm near Detroit.

Right now, the cause of the fire is under investigation, but firefighters think that a heat lamp is to blame.

The owner had one next to a newborn lamb to keep it warm.

Twelve lambs and 27 sheep died in the fire.

The owner was able to save several horses.
