BENTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. -- City officials are ready to continue the 1-million-dollar park project that they hope will be completed by fall 2026.
The new park will be located on the corner of Euclid and Laurel Avenue on nearly 10 acres behind the former Martindale Elementary. The park is being funded by a 1 million grant from the Michigan Department of Natural Resources.
The grant was set to expire next year, meaning the township will have to design the park and complete the construction within an 18-month timeline.
