NEW CARLISLE, Ind. – A new South Shore train station is being considered in New Carlisle.
The St. Joseph County Redevelopment Commission has decided to do a $100,000 study in order to determine if a station should be erected in the city.
Executive Director of Economic Development Bill Schalliol said, “We’re looking at ways in the New Carlisle area, as well as get new residents and commercial people things like that, to the development area, as well as get new residents and commercial people, things like that, to the area so as we’ve been having conversations with Shore Shore.”
The study will be a factor in deciding if New Carlisle is ready for a development project of this kind or if additional work is needed.
