New details in Rochester public schools lockdown

Rochester public schools were on lockdown Friday after an unspecified threat was posted to social media, according Rochester Police Chief Andrew Shotts.

No specific school was mentioned but the threat stated harm could be done.

Police put at an officer in each school in the morning and two officers in each school in the afternoon as a precaution.

Officers stayed at the schools until classes let out.

The investigation revealed the suspect does not live in Rochester or the surrounding community.

The investigation is ongoing.
