New incidents raise concerns over airline safety

NATIONAL -- There is growing concern over two incidents aboard passenger airplanes.

In one case, a plane headed from Switzerland to Boston made an Emergency landing because of a suspicious camera. The camera was harmless.

But sources tell ABC News that terrorists have been trying to hide explosive devices in things like cameras.

"Pilots, airlines, TSA, all have communications mechanism internally that allow them to understand what's going on in the environment and helps the pilot act appropriately when they are presented with threats," Bill Voss of Flight Safety Foundation said.

In another incident, an Air Canada flight another sewing needle was found inside a sandwich.

Two weeks ago, half a dozen sewing needles were found on four separate Delta flights.
