New jobs coming to Michigan City


MICHIGAN CITY, Ind. -- More than 100 new jobs are coming to Michigan City.


Tuesday, Sullair Corporation announced it is expanding its global headquarters.


The company plans to invest 12.7 million dollars to upgrade its 410,000 square-foot Laporte County facility.


As a result, 113 jobs will be created by 2015.


Sullair manufactures a variety of items like air compressors, vacuum systems, and tools for mining and construction.


Governor Mitch Daniels said that he is excited about the expansion.


Tuesday, he released a statement to ABC 57 news.


In it he said, “Sullair has called Indiana home for decades. We are pleased that they are continuing to invest in our state. We look forward to many more years of success.
