New Mission BBQ in Mishawaka sets opening date

MISHAWAKA, Ind.—Mission BBQ has set a grand opening date for its new Mishawaka location.

The restaurant at 5230 North Main Street is set to open on April 19, according to a post to Mission BBQ’s Facebook page.

Prior to opening, the restaurant is planning to hold a Military Appreciation Night on April 16 from 6-9 p.m. and sales will benefit the Honor Flight Network. The event will be open to the public.

Mission BBQ’s grand opening on April 19 will include a live rendition of the National Anthem at noon followed by a ribbon cutting ceremony. Doors will open immediately following the event.

The barbecue restaurant chain offers items like brisket, pulled pork, chicken, ribs and more.

The Mishawaka location will be the chain’s fifth Indiana location.

According to the restaurant’s website, Mission BBQ first opened for business on September 11, 2011 and regularly supports charities that help first responders and military members. Every day at noon, each restaurant plays the National Anthem.
