New Orleans bracing for rain, flooding as Isaac moves closer

GULF COAST -- Residents in Louisiana and elsewhere along the Gulf Coast started to feel the effects of Hurricane Isaac on Tuesday afternoon.

Isaac became a hurricane today and is expected to make land fall somewhere near New Orleans.

Conditions are starting to get worse from New Orleans to the Florida Panhandle.

The hurricane could dump as much as 20 inches of rain in some area, causing severe flooding in low-lying areas.
