Indiana State Police warn against increase in scam phone calls
ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. – The St. Joseph County Police department is taking an old INDOT highway depot and making renovations to create a new addition in hopes of helping to keep the community safe.
This new building will serve multiple divisions, including detectives, warrants, patrol and the new traffic division that began patrolling last week.
The station will also house the evidence lock-up, interview rooms, as well as repair bays for the county police vehicles.
SJCPD Sgt. Jason Dziubinski explained how the new building will help centralize their resources.
“There are several of our divisions that are housed here now, which, at our old post, was just the patrol division so it’s nice to have everybody at one central location,” said Sgt. Dziubinski.
