ST.JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind.—New St. Joseph County Sheriff Bill Redman talked about his plans for the county in an exclusive interview with ABC57 on Monday as he prepared to enter the role at midnight.
Previously, Redman served as a lieutenant for the St. Joseph County Police Department.
Redman talked about his goals for the new position, including hiring more staff, appreciating current employees, and improving officer training.
“I want people to feel at ease knowing the men and women of St. Joseph County police department are doing everything they can to make them feel safe,” Redman said.
