ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- The Elkhart County Sheriff's Office reports deputies responded to a single vehicle crash on C.R. 6 west of C.R. 21.

A 2015 Chevrolet Traverse, driven by a 36-year-old Nappanee woman was traveling east at an unsafe speed. The report states that, due to weather conditions, the driver lost control of her vehicle which caused the vehicle to fishtail.

She then drove off the south side of C.R. 6 into a tree. She was taken to Elkhart General Hospital for right knee pain and chest pain.

During the crash investigation, authorities say it was raining, and the roadway was wet at the time of the crash.
