After 80 years as a newsstand staple, Newsweek magazine is ending its print edition.
The magazine will publish its last print edition December 31 and will go completely digital.
Newsweek reps say consumers want news now, not on a weekly basis.
The populararity of tablets and smart phones have led to a decline in print readership.
The magazine says subscribers have plunged from more than 3 million in 2006 to about one million in 2012.
