NFL announces streaming games without cable subscriptions

National Football League wants to make it easier to watch games anywhere, so they decided to allow fans to stream online without a traditional cable subscription.

There is one restriction: There are seven exclusive to NFL Network can only be viewed on phones using cellular connection.

The rest of the games can be streamed on the following:

• NFL app
• Yahoo Sports
• Tumblr
• AOL apps
• Safari Web browser

The NFL tested out different streaming options during previous seasons including deals with Twitter, the Twitch App, Verizon, and Amazon Prime.

Cable packages will continue broadcasting NFL games as usual.
