Niles Police looking for suspect in car theft at gas station

BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich. – Niles Police are looking for a suspect in connection to a car theft on Nov. 10 just before 9 pm.

The vehicle was stolen from the Niles Shell gas station, located at 434 S 11th Street.

The car was unoccupied and left running near the gas pumps when it was stoles, according to officers.

The suspect is described to be at least six feet tall, has a thin build and has facial hair. He was wearing a multi-colored head covering underneath a white hoodie and a darker outer coat. He was also wearing dark-colored pants with a yellow stripe down each leg and white shoes.

The Niles Police wants to remind drivers to never leave vehicles unlocked and running, as it makes it an easy target.
