NILES, Mich. -- Thursday marked the first of four fun-filled days of rides, games, activities and food at the second annual Niles Riverfest.
“Zoo-volution” was the main attraction for the festivities available on Thursday, giving visitors a chance to learn about and see some animals.
"I'm already excited about the turnout. It’s Thursday at 6:30 p.m. and it’s already better than it was last year, so it can only get better from here. We're just going to keep growing and keep making this festival great for the community,” said, Josh Sitarz, Riverfest Coordinator.
Visitors will have an opportunity to rent canoes at the Niles Riverfest on Friday and Saturday. Entertainment for Saturday also includes a hot air balloon and lumberjacks throwing axes.
