NIPSCO natural gas services for Elkhart flood victims

ELKHART, Ind. – Before natural gas can be restored, NIPSCO has reminded affected residents of what they need to do.
All gas appliances cannot be submerged in water, and electric services must be turned back on.
Once both of those conditions are met, customers should call NIPSCO 24/7.
According to NIPSCO, a service person will visit the home and restore the natural gas.
About 75 customers near 5th and 6th Streets in Elkhart remain without natural gas because of the recent floods.
