No injuries in fire at Polygon Company in Walkerton

Firefighters responded to a fire at Polygon Company on Tennessee Street in Walkerton Thursday morning.

The fire happened just before noon.

Employees were inside when the fire started, but they all got out safely.

"When we pulled up on scene the fire was through the roof of the building above the smoke stacks where you see the fire burning. And we laid lines and attacked the fire," said Captain Jeff Hamilton of the Walkerton Fire Department.

Firefighters say there were no injuries.

The fire started in an oven room.

Ten departments responded to the fire.
