No injuries in Kansas plant explosion

SEDGWICK, Kan. -- A Kansas energy plant exploded Monday.

Flames and thick black smoke billowed from Green Energy Products Facility in Sedgwick.

Fire crews believe corn oil fueled the flames. Crews rushed to pour water on tanks of methanol to keep them from catching fire.

The good news for Green Energy is the most expensive part of the facility was undamaged and that everyone got out safely.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
