Reaching out for support gives father a second chance in life
GRANGER, Ind. – On Monday, Muffet McGraw and others came out for the annual “Run Jane Run” in Granger, an event/fundraiser aimed at supporting women and children who are victims of domestic violence.
This is the 35th time the event has been held. The event is way of giving back to the victims.
Notre Women’s Basketball Head Coach Muffet McGraw, who was at the fundraiser, wants to spread a message of empowerment for women.
“Well the great thing is about their message, they are all about empowering women and that certainly is what my message is also, but I love to see women supporting women, women networking, women getting a chance to help other women out because so many people in our community need some help,” McGraw said.
The fundraiser helps provide various forms of aid, which are shared through local emergency centers in Saint Joseph and Elkhart Counties.
